Biography
Colin Pogge is an experienced, dynamic trial attorney who joined Daly & Black to focus his practice on helping those who’ve been seriously injured or treated unfairly. He handles personal injury, first-party insurance, mass tort, commercial, and other plaintiffs’-side cases. Colin is an elected member of the Houston Bar Association’s Board of Directors, a nonprofit professional organization for attorneys that offers education and service programs for the legal profession and the community.
Colin brings with him a work ethic shaped by his Midwest upbringing, and a commitment to excellence shaped by his days at the University of Texas School of Law, where he served as an Articles Editor of the Texas Law Review, won awards in mock trial, and graduated with honors.
Prior to becoming a shareholder at Daly & Black, Colin was a trial attorney and partner at Gibbs & Bruns LLP, an elite commercial litigation boutique, for over a decade. Representing both plaintiffs and defendants, Colin went to trial and spearheaded high-stakes and high-dollar litigation in cases spanning a wide variety of areas, including oil and gas, energy and environmental regulations, banking, Ponzi schemes and other financial fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, real estate, commercial contracts, mass tort, entertainment, trade secrets, excessive use of force, and more. Colin also has a long track record of taking on pro bono cases, including over 10 years of experience working with the HBA’s Houston Volunteer Lawyers. In addition, Colin is actively involved in Houston’s efforts to address educational inequity, which was highlighted in the 2020 “Texas Rising Stars” piece, “Colin Pogge’s Teachable Moments.”
