Leah Hakim is a dedicated attorney licensed to practice law in the state of Louisiana, with a profound commitment to serving her community and advocating for those in need. Currently, Leah serves as a vital member of the team at Daly & Black, where she leads the firm’s Louisiana office, focusing on first-party claims, particularly those arising from the aftermath of Hurricane Ida. In this role, Leah plays an important part in working to support individuals and families who continue to endure the repercussions of the devastating storm.

Leah has made significant contributions to various law firms throughout her distinguished career. Prior to joining Daly & Black, she honed her litigation skills at Simon Paragon, Smith & Redfearn LLP, and Sher Garner Cahill Richter Klein & Hilbert, LLC, where she handled a diverse range of cases, including those related to construction, environmental contamination, and insurance indemnity. Her extensive experience in these areas has equipped her with the expertise needed to effectively advocate for her clients.

Leah’s passion for justice and community service is evident in her impressive legal background. Before her work in private practice, Leah served as a supervising attorney at the Louisiana Civil Justice Center, where she spearheaded initiatives at the pro se litigant resource center at Civil District Court in Orleans Parish. In this capacity, Leah developed comprehensive legal training programs for attorneys and staff and collaborated closely with judges and court officers to ensure access to justice for all individuals.

During her time in law school, Leah gained invaluable experience working for the New Orleans Parish District Attorney’s Office and as a clerk for Louisiana Supreme Court Justice Marcus Clark.
