Biography

Rachel Naquin is an experienced attorney who focuses her practice on personal injury and medical malpractice. As a recipient of the Louisiana State Bar Association’s Top 40 Under 40 award, Rachel strives for excellence when representing her clients. She is admitted to practice before all Louisiana state and federal courts, including the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.

While Rachel is a New Orleans native, she obtained a bachelor’s degree in international studies with a minor in Mandarin Chinese from American University in Washington, DC, graduating magna cum laude. Rachel earned her Juris Doctor at Penn State Law, where she was an active member of the Civil Rights Appellate Clinic. Through her time with the Clinic, she worked on three cases before the Supreme Court of the United States, gaining invaluable experience in high-stakes legal proceedings. While in law school, Rachel competed for Penn State Law on the ABA National Appellate Advocacy Moot Court Team and the AAJ Trial Advocacy Team. She received Penn State Law’s Unsung Hero Award for her commitment to organizing the law school’s intramural mock trial competition for first-year students. Rachel also served as a Senior Editor for the Penn State Law Review and earned membership in the Woolsack Honor Society after graduating in the top 15% of her class.

Since its inception in 2017, Rachel has participated in and helped organize Justice Camp, an academic program designed to impart civics education and advocacy skills that prepare local high school students for college, careers, and civic engagement. This program is sponsored by the New Orleans Chapter of the Federal Bar Association (NOFBA) at the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana. Rachel is an active board member of NOFBA’s Younger Lawyers Division, for which she has held multiple executive board positions, including Secretary and Treasurer. Her dedication to the program and her leadership roles highlight her commitment to community service and legal education.

Rachel’s professional achievements are complemented by her passion for mentoring and supporting the next generation of legal professionals. She continues to be actively involved in initiatives that promote legal education and civic engagement among young people. Her work with Justice Camp and her roles within the NOFBA reflect her dedication to making a positive impact on the legal community and beyond.

Outside the practice of law, Rachel enjoys watching the Nittany Lions and New Orleans Saints take the field every weekend during football season. Her love for sports and her commitment to her hometown teams reflect her vibrant personality and well-rounded character. Rachel’s diverse interests and her dedication to her clients make her an invaluable asset to Daly & Black and the clients she passionately represents.
